We are hosting a Halloween party at my apartment this evening. I have to admit, I think our group costume idea is quite creative and fun. We are all being different drinks!

I am being a White Russian
Emily is a French Martini
Ian is a Cape Codder
Kyle is Scotch on the Rocks
and last but not least Rachel is bringing out her Atlanta roots by being Crunk Juice.

We have already played dress up, and we look so cute. Here is a preview of my costume.

How do you relax?

The other night, my roommates and I decided to spruce up our apartment by each painting a canvas to hang on your big blank wall.

As we were painting we all got really into it and were so calm and relaxed. It was very therapeutic and a lot of fun. Not to mention our wall looks fabulous!

How gorgeous does Michelle Obama look on the cover of Glamour's Women of the Year issue? I think it is wonderful that she is gracing the cover of a women's magazine, it's something you don't see very often and it's the first time in Glamour’s 70-year history that a First Lady has ever appeared on their cover. She made Glamour's list because of her commitment to mentoring young women. Can't wait to pick up an issue!

Fall Foliage

When I walked to work this morning I was amazed. It seems like overnight all the trees decided to shed their leaves and left of carpet of oranges, reds and yellows to walk through.

I love Fall in New England, it is truly beautiful.

Cardboard Love

I adore the website cardboardlove.com They have sweet and funny messages to send your loved one. AJ is coming to visit me this weekend and sent me this, he is the cutest.

My friend Rachel

I have a friend, Rachel, who is so loud and has a laugh that can make you jump if you aren't prepared. She can be crazy and over the top almost all the time.




But... sometime I wish I could be more like her. Rachel is just so uninhibited in every way and could care less what anyone thinks. I know we all say that we don't care what people think of us, but this girl is the real deal. Even though sometimes she can be embarrassing (which is her plan at times), usually she is just full of life, a lot of fun and one of my best friends.

Clean Sheets

I had to do four loads of laundry last night, but it was totally worth it because I washed my sheets!

One of my favorite feelings in the world is freshly washed sheets. They feel good, they smell good, and they are good for your health, especially now. The center for disease control says that to prevent the flu and H1N1 this season washing bed linens is imperative. They should be washed weekly in hot water.


Even though I love fresh sheets, I admit I don't wash or change them every week, I'm more like every two weeks. What's your sheet schedule?
