MARATHON MONDAY

This past Monday was the Boston Marathon. To those who are familiar, they know this is one of Boston's best holidays and the party starts at 9 a.m. Here are some photos from the lovely day.

UPDATE

A little update on my life

- I am going to New York for the summer! I have an internship and am living with my best friend :)

- I have not gone shopping since LA (except to get my sunglasses), I am determined to make it to September

- I have decided to give up coffee and switch to tea, but only drink it once in a while

- The Boston weather is finally starting to get nice, and I have the day off tomorrow, woo! Bring on pretty spring dresses.

- My hair is starting to get long again

- I am pretty much insanely happy

p.s. Isn't the card my mumma sent me recently so pretty :)

I AM A TV ADICT

Growing up I barely watched any tv, but I definitely make up for it now. Half of the shows I watch I don't even like...I just can't stop. I think my main problem is that I get really invested in the characters and I just need to see what happens to them.
As my previous post shows, I am watching American Idol (even though I told myself I wasn't going to this year!) and as the group of contestants get smaller and smaller, I am even more addicted than ever. I could be that I have a thing for a guy who can sing, but I love all the guys on the show. I was so sad to see Anoop leave :( I want them all to win.
Flipping through the channels the other night I landed on The Biggest Loser, which is not in my regular schedule, but I watched, and ended up crying!
My boyfriend makes me watch Lost, and even though it is so confusing and I make fun of it all the time, come Wednesday I feel myself thinking, "Oo Lost is on tonight."
I won't even begin to go into all the shows I watch, there are far too many once I get into the ones I watch online too (love abc.com).
So I admit that I have a little problem, but that's the first step right? I try and tell myself it's ok because I love to read too (Middlesex right now), although with Idol taking over my life I can't seem to get past page 249.

My BF and American Idol's Kris Allen look SO much alike!

SAY WHAT?

I have always been on team Bridget. I have to admit that the photos of Gisele in the new issue of Vanity Fair are exquisite, but her comments inside-not so much. It has been all over the media that she said:

"It's not like because somebody else delivered him, that's not my child. I love him the same way as if he were mine. I already feel like he's my son, from the first day . . . He's my little angel -- the sweetest, most cuddly, loving baby. I feel blessed to have him in my life. I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that. But to me, it's not like because somebody else delivered him, that's not my child -- I feel it is, 100 percent."

The Moynahan camp was quick to jump on the quote referencing to how she called John, the child, IT.
I can understand both sides. I think there is going to be constant drama between this little family, but as long as Gisele keeps taking pictures like she does, I'm sure she will be fine.

APRIL SHOWERS...

It is a dreary morning in Boston. I'm hoping the saying is true:
April showers bring May flowers.

GOING ON A SAVING SPREE!

Times are tough; this is especially true for my wallet. I came back from a trip to L.A. and realized I spent way more money than I should have...but its too far to return stuff now.
I made a deal with myself that I was not going to go shopping until next September. I will most likely not have an income this summer and I need to save every penny I can.
Both my best friend and boyfriend don't believe me. The bf gives me until July, and the bff (whom I am living with in NY this summer) said day one we are going shopping. I will not give in though!
There are however some essential things I need to purchase that do not count. I need birthday presents for both my parents (both are in April- 9 days apart, sheesh!) It is also mandatory that I get a new pair of sunglasses, since I lost one pair and broke the other...I refuse to buy expensive ones though because well, I lose them and break them. BUT THAT'S IT.
I am excited to prove everybody wrong and not go too far into debt! :)
