The other day I was chatting with my friend, he happens to be be my gay best friend, but that is beside the point. The point is, he is in a long-term committed relationship. However, he believes that people are not meant to be with one person for the rest of their lives. He gave some reasoning that a person's biology makes them go through cycles in their life and make them want different things and different people at different times.
Looking at it through the perspective that this is why so many couples get divorced (his parents are), it makes sense.
I think his argument is logical, but I refuse to believe it. Maybe its because my parents are so happily married that I think there is in fact a happily ever after.
Call me naive, or as I call my self - romantic, but I think some people are just meant for each other forever.
